The Argentine forward was again the hero for the Herons as Messi scored a stoppage-time equalizer to secure a valuable road point for Inter Miami in the early stages of the MLS season.

Yet as per Martino via the club’s official website, Messi’s quality proved to be the difference-maker once again for Inter Miami, with the forward starting and finishing off the move that would lead to the crucial goal.
It was Messi’s first goal of the 2024 MLS season and a stark reminder for the league that the 36-year-old is not here to take it easy, with Inter Miami early favorites for MLS Cup already.
Martino said when asked about Inter Miami’s performance and Messi’s late goal to tie the game up: “I think that in the second half we played better.
“We had chances, our opponents scored on the counterattack, but after we had the personality to continue searching and we arrived well to the tie, with the genius of Leo.”
Moments of magic will push Inter Miami to MLS history

When fit, there’s no player in the world capable of what Messi is able to produce, with the Argentine forward simply one-of-a-kind in the world of soccer.
And for Inter Miami, moments of magic from the former PSG star will be the reason behind their potential success this year, with the 36-year-old already adapted to life in MLS.
Whilst a quadruple might be unlikely, Messi alone has the quality needed to win more silverware for Inter Miami, and fans will have major expectations of what’s to come this season.
