Luis Suárez speaks out about his potential move to Inter Miami for the first time.

In an interview with Uruguayan TV station Telemundo 12, the striker discussed his reported move to the South Florida club.

“It could be one of the possibilities,” Suárez stated.

“I have the best player in the world and a great friend with whom we have always talked about things in the future but I still need to rest and enjoy and then make a decision.”

The former Barcelona attacker has been linked with a move to Inter Miami for months. Just recently, The Miami Herald reported that Suárez and Miami have finalized a deal to bring the Uruguayan to Fort Lauderdale to team back up with Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.

Though the forward’s comments don’t inspire 100% confidence that he will sign with the Herons, several reports confirm that it’s only a matter of time before the 36-year-old puts on a pink and black kit.

Although Suárez has had his fair share of controversy over the years, his attacking output more than makes up for it.

For Gremio this season, the Uruguayan scored 26 goals in all competitions, as he led the Imortal Tricolor to a second-place finish in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

At Inter Miami, it’s not wild to believe that Suárez could double his goal output, especially with close friend and captain Lionel Messi providing service.

With the amount of competition that the Herons will be playing in, extra experience and depth at the center forward spot will be key to winning more trophies.

Whenever Suárez signs for Miami, one thing is evident, despite his knee problems, ‘Lucho’ still has enough quality to make an impact in Major League Soccer.
