Despite links to Inter Miami, transfer target Agustín Palavecino is urged to stay at River Plate.

According to River president Jorge Brito, the 27-year-old is being pushed to stay by manager Martin Demichelis.

“Martín Demichelis considers Palavecino important,” he said

“We did not have any formal offer, although we know of Inter Miami’s interest .”

The initial report that Inter Miami was interested in Palavecino came from journalist German Garcia Grova:

Though developments with this particular transfer are ongoing, Miami has already added an impressive list of players to the squad during the off season.

Miami has already added Luis Suarez to the side, as well as defender Nicolas Freire and midfielder Julian Gressel.

Though there’s a month until the season starts, the Herons have plenty of time to add to the squad. Adding a player like Palavecino would be important for Miami when Messi is off on international duty with Argentina.

Furthermore, it’s still early days, the 27-year-old would be significantly cheaper than other transfer targets.

Although it may seem like a surplus, Palavecino would be a good addition to the roster. It remains to be seen if the youngster will join, but its evident Miami isn’t done with their overhaul.
