Inter Miami have reportedly predicted when new center-back signing Nicolas Freire will be available for selection.
The Argentine international recently joined the Herons on loan from Mexican giants Pumas, with the 29-year-old set to spend the year with Inter Miami alongside Lionel Messi and company.
Recently lauded by Apple TV analyst Devon Kerr as an ‘unplayable’ defender when in top form, it appears that Inter Miami might have landed an ideal defensive signing in Freire this winter.

And according to the Atheltic, the Florida franchise expects the former Olympiacos star to be on the field very soon, with the defender yet to feature for Inter Miami in pre-season.
With Inter Miami keeping just one clean sheet this winter, the absence of a quality central defender has been quite evident over the past few weeks.
Yet with the Herons now confident that Freire will be back on the pitch soon, there’s every chance that Inter Miami’s fortunes at the back could start to turn around.
Inter Miami need Nicolas Freire back as soon as possible

It’s been quite the pre-season for Inter Miami having traveled the entire globe and facing off against teams that have given Tata Martino a lot of food for thought.
Yet the main lesson so far for Inter Miami has been that the backline needs some serious work, with the defensive chemistry currently non-existent.
Yet Freire could be a savior for the Herons, with the Argentine an ideal center-back partner for the young Tomas Aviles, who clearly needs a mentor alongside him.
And Freire can be that the player, with the two defenders both from Argentina and the Pumas star someone Aviles can learn the art of defending from.
