Inter Miami defender Franco Negri has now revealed the ‘ridiculous’ thing Jordi Alba is now doing regularly in training.

The former FC Barcelona star has been out for the past month due to a hamstring injury, with Alba reportedly set to make his Inter Miami comeback soon having now returned to full training.

Whilst Inter Miami have been in stellar form without Alba on the pitch, the 35-year-old’s absence has been felt, with the former Spanish international locker room favorite and already striking up friendships with the likes of Negri.

And the defender has now shared what Alba is now doing in training.

Negri sheds light on Alba’s passing in Inter Miami training

Speaking to the Miami Herald, Negri revealed that Alba’s passing has been ‘ridiculous’ in training, with the 29-year-old Argentine noting that he also learning from his Inter Miami teammate on how to be less anxious.

Negri has started the last three Inter Miami games in Alba’s absence, and it’s clear that the former Godoy Cruz defender is keen to learn as much as he can from one of the best and most decorated left-backs in all of soccer.

The Argentine said when asked what has he learned from Alba since returning from injury: “I have learned from Jordi’s calm demeanor and the time he takes to make decisions because I tend to be more anxious.

“I am trying to learn from all of them, from Busi, Suarez, Leo, mainly how calm they are on the ball and trying to see the field the way they do. The passes they make are ridiculous, it motivates you to have them as teammates and my main takeaway has been their calmness on the field.”

Alba will want to show off his passing in Inter Miami return

Alba’s return to action with the Herons is just one or two games away, with the veteran defender seemingly itching to get back out on the field with the MLS franchise.

And after this quote from Negri, Alba would be wise to show off his range of passing on his Inter Miami return, a tool that could come of use in the upcoming matches before Lionel Messi and company depart for the Copa America.

Indeed, Alba’s technical ability is up there with the best in all of MLS, and the 35-year-old will want to prove how good he still is at his age when he returns to action with the Florida giants later this month.
