Inter Miami is preparing to win it all next year.

According to team Sporting Director Chris Henderson via MLSsoccer.com, Miami is making plans to surround Lionel Messi with the talent needed to win more trophies: “But in saying that, we want more. We will improve this roster.”

Henderson continued: “In 2024 we have high hopes and we will compete in multiple competitions. We will work tirelessly to evaluate the changes that need to be made and achieve our goals in bringing success to our fans and Inter Miami.”

The Herons ended the 2023 season on a sour note, missing out on the postseason. Although Miami won its first trophy in club history in the summer with the Leagues Cup, failing to make the playoffs put a huge damper on an otherwise, historic 2023.

2024, however, is shaping up to be a different story.

Henderson made it clear that Miami will be aggressive in the transfer market. Additionally, the CSO stated that they’ll be evaluating every position throughout the organization to see where they can improve on the technical side.

Miami will need to take advantage of Messi’s time at the club if they want to win more silverware.

Echoing Henderson’s sentiments, Messi wants 2024 to be successful as well.

Speaking to the crowd before Inter Miami’s November 10th match vs. NYCFC, the Argentine said that he wants the next season to include more trophies: “Today I have no doubt, as I didn’t at the beginning, and much less now, that next year is going to be a lot better.”

If Inter Miami wants to potentially challenge for MLS Cup, adding players to the roster that can complement Messi and his skill set will be key.

As the off-season continues, the Herons will be evaluating players who will be able to help elevate the team to another level.
