Inter Miami’s preseason got even more exciting.

On January 5th, the club announced its seventh and final preseason match at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium against FC Dallas.

“We are pleased to be able to play in a historic venue like the Cotton Bowl as part of our 2024 preseason preparations,” said Inter Miami CSO Chris Henderson.

“This match against FC Dallas will provide us with a great test against MLS opposition ahead of our fifth season for Inter Miami. We’re looking forward to making this our most memorable campaign yet.”

The Cotton Bowl holds a capacity of over 90,000 seats, which will likely sell out due to Messi’s presence.

However, many Miami fans are worried about the team’s heavy schedule that’s set to include trips to Japan, Hong Kong, and Saudi Arabia.

There are high expectations for the Herons this year.

Not only are they playing in multiple competitions, but the Leagues Cup success of last summer raised the anticipation for this season. The aforementioned Sporting Director Chris Henderson already stated that Miami intended to improve its roster.

“We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” he stated.

“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”

Already, Miami has signed the likes of Luis Suarez and is close to announcing the free-agent signing of Julian Gressel.

Ultimately, Inter Miami is in for a crazy preseason. Though all the preparation is in good faith, hopefully, the Herons don’t over-exhaust themselves.
