JJ Watt has named who is the best Greatest of all Time between Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi and NFL legend Tom Brady after Super Bowl LVIII.
The biggest annual sporting event in America has been and gone as the Kansas City Chiefs claimed back-to-back championships with an overtime win against the San Francisco 49ers.
Making his Super Bowl debut away from the pitch was Messi, who this year starred in his first advert which premiered during the big game, alongside Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.
And speaking on CBS Sports Golazo, former Houston Texans defensive end Watt was asked which out of Messi or Brady is the biggest GOAT in sports.
To the surprise of nobody, the 34-year-old named the Inter Miami superstar as his pick, with Watt now associated with soccer via his ownership of Burnley and marriage to Chicago Red Stars forward Kealia Ohai.
Watts said when asked who is the biggest GOAT between Messi or Brady: “I do have to say Lionel Messi is Lionel Messi. What an unbelievable talented player. I do play both sides of the fence now, which with my Burnley connection. But I’ll give it to Messi.”

Soccer and American football are two completely different sports from other worlds, with Messi the master of one whilst Brady rules the other.
Whilst comparing the two sports would be like trying to describe the differences between an apple and a dinosaur, measuring greatness is a metric that can be applied to soccer and American football.
And when comparing Messi and Brady, it’s clear that the Inter Miami and Argentina star is the greatest by quite some margin compared to the former NFL superstar.
A FIFA World Cup, four UEFA Champions Leagues and 12 league titles with FC Barcelona and PSG make Messi one of the most successful athletes of all time, and Brady simply can’t compare with the Inter Miami forward.
