Jordi Alba has addressed expectations surrounding Inter Miami on whether the Florida franchise can win every trophy on offer this season.
The Herons head into the new MLS year with arguably the greatest squad the division has ever seen, with Luis Suarez and Julian Gressel joining Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami.
With Federico Redondo reportedly set to join, expectations are at an all-time high for Inter Miami, who are expected by some fans to win all four major trophies this season.
Jordi Alba responds when asked about Inter Miami’s potential success

Yet speaking to Goal, Alba has now attempted to temper expectations surrounding Inter Miami, who last season didn’t even make it to the MLS playoffs after Messi’s arrival.
Whilst the Herons did win the Leagues Cup, it’s likely that Inter Miami will miss out on at least on trophy this season, though Alba and company will be fighting for everything on offer.
Alba said when asked about pre-season expectations around Inter Miami: “It’s clear we haven’t won anything yet. We want to win every trophy we’re playing for.
“It’s going to be very complicated because there are some very well-prepared teams with the same dreams as us, but I think we have a very good team.”
Inter Miami have to believe they can win everything this season

Given the increased interest in Inter Miami and MLS this season, neutrals will be expecting Tata Martino’s side to dominate the league.
However, those who are seasoned MLS watchers know that one does not simply dominate the division, which is arguably one of the most unpredictable in all of soccer.
Yet Inter Miami have the star power and quality to create history this season, and if the likes of Alba and Messi can stay fit, there’s no real reason why the Florida franchise can’t go all the way in every competition.
