Inter Miami are reportedly back in talks to sign rumored FC Barcelona and Real Madrid target Federico Redondo.
The Argentinos Juniors midfielder looked set to join the Herons after news broke last week that a fee had been agreed with the South American side for Redondo worth $8m.
With Spanish giants Barcelona and Madrid believed to be interested in signing in Redondo, Inter Miami’s move looked to be a huge one, until reports emerged that the deal had been called off due to MLS restrictions.

Yet according to the Miami Herald’s Michelle Kaufman, talks between Inter Miami and Argentinos Juniors are now back on, with a resolution potentially in the works.
Praised by Total Football Analysis as an ‘excellent’ passer, Redondo’s move to Inter Miami is slowly transforming to one of the most drawn-out transfer sags of the winter market.
Yet with the Herons yet to give up on signing the Argentine youth international, a full agreement could soon be reached if Inter Miami can get their act together in offloading the right players to pass MLS regulations.
Inter Miami can’t fumble the signing of Federico Redondo at this stage

Inter Miami are clearly pushing hard to sign Redondo ahead of this week’s MLS opener against Real Salt Lake, with the midfielder exactly who Tata Martino currently needs in his ranks/
Yet having come close already to throwing away the entire transfer, Inter Miami can’t afford to make the same mistake twice, with the Florida franchise in need of making sure the signing can be made without violating MLS rules.
Indeed, the Herons know they have a potential diamond on their hands in Redondo, and Inter Miami can’t allow the deal to collapse again with talks now ongoing once again.
