Argentinos Juniors’ club president has confirmed that FC Barcelona and Real Madrid target Federico Redondo is set to join Inter Miami, with the transfer expected to be announced soon.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been chased by a number of top clubs in recent weeks, with Barcelona and Madrid reportedly interested in signing Redondo.
However, it’s Inter Miami who have won the race for the Argentine youth international, with the Herons making a reported $8m offer to sign Redondo from Argentinos Juniors.

And speaking on Argentine TV via Yahoo Sports, club president Cristian Malaspina confirmed that Inter Miami’s move to sign Redondo could be made official as early as today.
One of the highest-rated youngsters in all of South America, Inter Miami have done well to win the race for Redondo, with the Herons landing quite the talent ahead of Barcelona and Madrid.
Malaspina said: “Everything is very advanced, small details, objectives, payment conditions are missing, which I don’t think will hinder anything and surely in the next few hours it will be announced.”
