Inter Miami wants a successful 2024 season.

Both Sporting Director Chris Henderson and Lionel Messi have spoken about the organization’s desire to win.

The end of this year wasn’t what the Herons were expecting. Even though they won the Leagues Cup, the first trophy in club history, the men in pink fell flat in the latter half of the season and failed to make the playoffs.

Next year brings another opportunity for Inter Miami to add to its trophy cabinet. However, the aging core trio of Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba will need younger, fresher legs around them to help with the demanding Major League Soccer schedule.

Miami has a plethora of young talents that will aid Messi and the team in its quest to achieve glory.

Here are a few players that could partner with the Argentine in 2024.

Combined with the experienced veterans on the roster, Inter Miami has a solid group of players under the age of 25 who will contribute meaningful minutes in 2024.

Benjamin Cremaschi is one of the standout names on the roster. The Key Biscayne native shot to fame in 2023 thanks to his performances during the Leagues Cup. The shaggy-haired Argentine American is a box-to-box midfield with a knack for scoring. Furthermore, Cremaschi’s energy will be needed in Inter Miami’s midfield to pair alongside Busquets to cover the Spaniard’s weak spots.

Facundo Farias

Another youngster who will help out Miami’s attack is Facundo Farias. The former Colon man was acquired by the Herons in the summer and quickly made his presence known. In just 11 games this year, the Argentine scored 4 G/A in all competitions. His explosiveness, speed, and crafty dribbling have drawn comparisons to Messi, but the 21-year-old still has a long way to go to achieve that success.

Lastly, forward Leonardo Campana will be one of the main men up top for head coach Tata Martino next season. The Ecuadorian is tall, has soft feet, and has shown he can score consistently in MLS. If the reports of Luis Suárez’s imminent arrival mean anything, Campana’s minutes could diminish significantly in 2024, but the 23-year-old will still have a lot to give.
