Inter Miami is just a couple of days away from the start of preseason.
The South Florida club is gearing up for a highly anticipated 2024 season, which includes participation in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, US Open Cup, and more.
Before the Herons kick off their full slate of regular season MLS games and tournaments, they first need to get through the preseason.
Miami will officially start their 2024 against El Salvador on January 9th. The men in pink will subsequently take on FC Dallas, then fly to Asia to play Al Hilal, Al Nassr, the Hong Kong League All-Stars, Vissel Kobe before heading back to South Florida to play Newell’s Old Boys.
Messi says this about facing Cristiano Ronaldo once more with Inter Miami

On January 9th, Lionel Messi took to Instagram in what appears to be an advertisement for the upcoming match.
Though the duo has faced off plenty of times before, their upcoming match on February 1st is gaining excitement.
“I can’t wait to be part of #RiyadhSeasonCup with my team Inter Miami CF as we face top Saudi clubs in a historic championship,” the World Cup winner said in the post.
Miami’s match against Al Hilal will be one of seven games in their preseason. The Herons are hoping that 2024 can look significantly different from last year.
After failing to make the playoffs, the men in pink are hoping to fix the mistakes that plagued them.

“We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club,” said club CSO Chris Henderson.
“We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club.”
“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”
Already, Miami has added the likes of striker Luis Suarez and wing back Julian Gressel. Though there are still more roster additions to go, it looks like the Fort Lauderdale-based squad is laying the foundation for a successful season.
