Luis Suarez jokingly called Lionel Messi an ‘idiot’ after what happened in a recent Inter Miami training session.
The Uruguay striker is the latest superstar name to make the move to the Florida franchise, with Suarez reuniting with former FC Barcelona teammates Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
With Philippe Coutinho also linked with a move to Inter Miami, Tata Martino’s side could be about to embark on one of the most historic season in MLS history with the former Barcelona quartet.
And in a video posted by TR Sports, it appears that Suarez is adapting well to his new surroundings, with the striker jokingly calling Messi an ‘idiot’ after how hard the Argentine hit his teammate in an Inter Miami initiation.
Indeed, Messi and Suarez’s friendship is well-known in the soccer world, with the duo becoming best friends during their incredible time together with Barcelona.
And this friendship could be key to Inter Miami’s potential success next season, with Messi and Suarez arguably the two best players MLS has ever seen heading into the new term.
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez can create history with Inter Miami

Whilst Messi might be swinging a bit too hard at Suarez, there’s no denying that the pair and their connection on and off the pitch will be influential for Inter Miami.
The attacking duo formed what many consider to be the best attacking trio in the history of soccer alongside Neymar, and Messi and Suarez will want to rediscover this form this season.
Although pre-season performances haven’t been convincing, Messi and Suarez will soon find their rhythm in upcoming fixtures, with Inter Miami jetting out to Saudi Arabia today.
