Inter Miami is laying the foundation for a great 2024.

After missing the playoffs in 2023, Sporting Director Chris Henderson stated that the organization would revamp the squad.

“We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club,” he stated.

We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club. Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”

Already, the Herons have signed striker Luis Suarez and free agent wing back Julian Gressel.

Though there’s still work to be done to get the roster up to speed, Suarez doesn’t doubt that Miami can challenge for more silverware.

“Why Not Dream Big?”

During his introductory press conference, the newly signed forward expressed his ambitions with Inter Miami, stating that the club has all the tools to win every trophy they’re up for.

“Why wouldn’t we dream of winning all four titles?” he said.

Miami will be up for MLS Cup, the CONCACAF Champions Cup, the US Open Cup, and the Leagues Cup this season. The fact that Suarez is already dreaming big bodes well for Miami.

Manager Tata Martino spoke about Suarez’s quality as well, stating that his chemistry with Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets never left.

“We expect a very good version of Suarez after what he did with Gremio,” Martino said.

“We finished the session with 20 minutes of football. It was obvious in those 20 minutes that the four of them have not forgotten how to play together. It was 20 minutes of beautiful football.”
