It looks like Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will play Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr after all.
After initially denying reports about the match in early November, the South Florida club has officially announced a two-game preseason tour where they’ll play Al Hilal on January 29th and the aforementioned Al Nassr on February 1st.
“This is another major opportunity to create lasting relationships with passionate fans,” said club Chief Business Officer Xavi Asensi
“We are excited to connect with new supporters in Saudi Arabia, and also hope people all over the world will be tuning in to see a pair of dream matches like these.”
This will be the third and fourth games added to Inter Miami’s preseason tour. The Herons will take on El Salvador on January 19th and the Hong Kong All-Stars on February 4th before the start of the Major League Soccer season in late February.
Inter Miami’s busy preseason, highly anticipated 2024

Inter Miami is gearing up for a highly anticipated 2024.
Not only is the club finalizing a deal to bring Luis Suárez to the organization, but they’ll also be active in the trade market according to CSO Chris Henderson: “Without tipping what we’re going to do in trades, I do feel that we need to have competition in every spot.”
Henderson added: “We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club.”
Inter Miami wants to add more trophies to its silverware cabinet. To do so, a full preseason to get into shape is a must.
Though many believe four preseason games are too many, these matches will give head coach Tata Martino just enough time to implement the tactics and style he wants.
Ultimately, the more Inter Miami can grow team chemistry, the better.
