Inter Miami could lose a key player over the winter window.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo, Bahia is interested in bringing Inter Miami co-captain and midfielder Gregore back to the team.
“Both Tricolor and [Internacional] have not yet made contact with Inter Miami,” the article said.
“But the Bahian team has already spoken to the athlete about their desire to count him in 2024.”
Gregore played for Bahia from 2018 to 2021 before making the move to Inter Miami in January 2022.
Since then, the 29-year-old has been a rock in Miami’s midfield, appearing in over 60 games for the men in pink. Unfortunately, he was out for most of the 2023 season, dealing with a foot injury. But, the Brazilian made it back just in time to appear in Miami’s last two games of the year.
It’s understated just how devastating it would be if the Herons lost such an important piece in the midfield.

Inter Miami has big plans for 2024.
Not only are they finalizing a deal to bring striker Luis Suárez to the club, but according to club CSO Chris Henderson, they’ll be active on the trade market: “Without tipping what we’re going to do in trades, I do feel that we need to have competition in every spot.”
2023 ended on a disappointing note for the Herons.
Despite winning the Leagues Cup in August, the men in pink missed out on the playoffs.
The club will want to prevent the same fate from happening again next season. A big reason why Miami stumbled at the end of the season was due to fatigue and players coming back from injury.
To get the team into a place where it can consistently contend for trophies, Henderson also said that every position within the club is under evaluation: “We’re evaluating every department in our front office and performance staff, to support [Tata Martino] and his staff and all the players to make sure we’re performing everywhere in the club.”
Whatever Miami does in the offseason, what’s clear is that they want to add more silverware to their cabinet.
