Sergio Busquets has delivered his honest verdict on Luis Suarez since the striker’s move to Inter Miami, with the forward struggling for fitness.
The Uruguay international joined the Herons last month off the back of an incredible year in Brazil where Suarez bagged over 40 goal contributions for Gremio in all competitions.
However, since moving to MLS, Suarez has looked noticeably sluggish, with pundit Taylor Twellman pointing out that the striker’s movement has looked off since joining Inter Miami.

However, speaking to the Miami Herald, Busquets backed his Inter Miami teammate to come good eventually, with the midfielder claiming that the attacker is still adjusting to his new environment.
Given how intense MLS can be on older players and Suarez’s previous injury issues, it makes sense why the former FC Barcelona star has struggled at the start of the season.
Yet for Busquets, this patch of form will blow over for Suarez, who once up and running could be the most lethal finisher in MLS since the days of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the LA Galaxy.
Busquets said on Suarez: “It’s a new league, we all need a period of adaptation. Not just him, but all of us as a team. We are changing, fixing things, some things left to improve.”
Luis Suarez still needs time to adjust to brand new environment

MLS is a notorious division for being difficult to adjust to, with superstar names like Steven Gerrard, Andrea Pirlo and Javier Hernandez all struggling to adjust to the intensity of the league.
And whilst Suarez has played just two games this season, the forward will be eager to adjust to his new surroundings quickly, with a fast start something that could set Inter Miami up for playoff qualification.
Indeed, Suarez is surrounded by great teammates and players who are in the same boat as him, and the striker will soon find his feet with a few more games under his belt and more fitness in the tank.
