Inter Miami’s academy continues to impress.

The US has called up midfielder Santiago Morales and defender Tyler Hall to the U17 National team ahead of the U17 FIFA World Cup.

The tournament kicks off on November 10th, with the final taking place on December 10th. Hall and Morales will travel with the team to Indonesia as they look to win the title.

The USYNT will compete in Group E where they will play South Korea, France, and Burkina Faso in the group stage.

Morales joined Inter Miami’s academy in 2019, where he stood out among his peers. The silky attacking midfielder would go on to lead Miami’s U15 side to an MLS Next PRO Cup title in 2022, earning the game’s MVP award for his efforts. The 16-year-old recently signed a Homegrown contract with Inter Miami’s first team on September 12th.

As for Hall, the defender has been a mainstay in the US player pool, representing the Stars and Stripes across varying levels of age groups. The 17-year-old made his professional debut with Inter Miami II in 2022.

While all the headlines will go to Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, Inter Miami has quietly cultivated one of the better youth systems in MLS.

Hall and Morales are just two of the many academy products that have seen their profile rise.

Benjamin Cremaschi, Noah Allen, Ian Fray, Edison Azcona, David Ruiz, and Felipe Valencia are talented young players who have come through Miami’s academy.

Just this year, Allen, Cremaschi, Ruiz, and Fray (pre-injury) showed that they can contribute meaningful minutes to the first team.

With Hall and Morales, the next wave of great Inter Miami youth products is here.

As the pair continues to develop, expect them to make a breakthrough into the first team sooner rather than later.
