Inter Miami’s future is in good hands with Facundo Farias.
The 21-year-old signed with the team in the summer, and has – so far, made a big impact.
Born and raised in Sante Fe, Argentina, Farias joined Colon’s youth system in 2015. Four years later in 2019, the midfielder would get his chance with the first team, making his professional debut during Colon’s 2-0 loss against Atletico Tucuman.
Farias would quickly rise to prominence after that, with several European teams inquiring about his services. Unfortunately, Farias would have a setback, suffering a torn ACL last year, temporarily destroying his dreams of heading overseas.
It wasn’t until this summer that Farias would fully return to the form that made him a rising star.
Inter Miami’s future star

Farias is enjoying his time in Major League Soccer.
Since signing in June, the winger had a productive last few months, netting three goals and assisting once in thirteen games.
Though he’s still a raw talent, it’s evident that he has a high ceiling.
For example, in Inter Miami’s 3-2 win over Sporting KC on September 9th, Farias ran the attack, ending the game with a goal and four total shots.
With 2024 quickly approaching, and Miami playing in various competitions next year, expect Farias to be integral to the team’s plans.
When asked about the youngster in a pre-match conference ahead of the US Open Cup Final, Sergio Busquets was complimentary of the 21-year-old: “He’s doing well, he’s adapting to the team style and is a great young player.”
Inter Miami have done a phenomenal job at scouting their U22 players. Alongside defender Tomas Aviles and midfielder Diego Gomez, the Herons have a group of young players who will be able to be the team’s core when Messi, Alba, and Busquets leave the club.
