Inter Miami’s friendly against NYCFC will give supporters a glimpse of what’s to come in 2024.

Announced on November 3rd, ‘Noche d’Or‘ will be a celebratory night commemorating Lionel Messi’s eighth Ballon d’Or triumph. In addition to honoring the Argentine’s career accomplishments, Inter Miami will be playing an exhibition match against fellow East Coast side NYCFC.

Furthermore, the game will be a fantastic way for the team to get some extra minutes before the two-and-a-half month-long Major League Soccer off-season.

The Herons ended the 2023 season in poor form. After missing the playoffs, Inter Miami will have one last match to bring some positive vibes to a disappointed South Florida crowd.

Though many may feel the friendly is excessive, it will be a great way to send off the team before they settle down for the off-season.

With 2024 on the horizon, supporters are excited to see what the new season holds.

Inter Miami is quietly building a squad that will challenge for MLS Cup next year.

According to head coach Tata Martino, not only does Inter Miami have Luis Suárez in its sights but, also other potential MLS players: “The league offers interesting options. We don’t have to only look abroad.”

The upcoming match against NYCFC will be one last chance for Martino to assess his roster and make the appropriate personnel changes

Should Miami be successful in recruiting, they’ll have a squad of players that will help elevate Messi and his talents.

Major League Soccer can be difficult; there were times this season when Miami learned that lesson the hard way.

But, as the club pivots to 2024, Martino will learn from those mistakes and improve upon team tactics. With a revamped roster and a full off-season of rest, Miami will be ready to add more trophies to its cabinet in 2024.
