Inter Miami had a semi-busy offseason.

After failing to make the playoffs last year, Miami Chief Sporting Officer Chris Henderson made it a point to refresh the roster.

“We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” Henderson stated.

“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”

Despite winning the Leagues Cup in the summer, the Herons struggled in the latter half of the year due to fatigue and international duty.

Miami will look to remedy the mistakes that plagued them in 2023.

Already, Miami has added the likes of Luis Suarez, Julian Gressel, and Nicolas Freire.

Suarez joined the team from Gremio after having a successful period with the Brazilian side. The Uruguayan was the Tricolor’s top goal scorer, leading them to a second-place finish in the Brasileirao.

Gressel, a wingback, signed with the Herons after winning an MLS Cup with the Columbus Crew. The 30-year-old has extensive MLS experience and is versatile.

Lastly, there’s defender Nicolas Freire who comes from Pumas on loan. The defender will provide extra depth and experience to a relatively young Miami backline.
