Argentine defender Victor Cuesta has reportedly rejected a proposal from Inter Miami just days after Marcos Rojo snubbed a move to Florida.
The 35-year-old Botafogo centre-back is set to leave the Brazilian club this winter, with a move to MLS being touted as Cuesta’s next destination, specifically, Inter Miami.
The Herons are on the search for a new defender with Tata Martino’s side already being rejected by Boca Juniors star Roja, with Lionel Messi reportedly aiding in that failed transfer pursuit.

And according to journalist Cristian Moraes, Inter Miami have been unsuccessful in another move to sign a South American defender, this time in the form of Cuesta.
Again, Martino was personally involved in trying to bring the veteran defender to Florida, though Cuesta will now instead join Brazilian side Bahia rather than a move north to Inter Miami.
Indeed, the Herons’ search for a new centre-back is going poorly, and rejection from Cuesta is another glaring sign that Inter Miami need to step up their efforts to bring in a top defender before the start of pre-season.
Victor Cuesta rejection should be an eye-opener for Inter Miami

With Rojo and now Cuesta rejecting moves to Inter Miami, the search for a defender isn’t going as smoothly as many imagined.
Whilst the signings of Luis Suarez and Julian Gressel are exceptional, the backline is in need of a serious overhaul if Inter Miami are to compete next season.
And this latest rejection from Cuesta should be an eye-opener for the south Florida side, with Inter Miami in need of a new defender in the coming days.
