FC Barcelona captain Sergi Roberto is reportedly not thinking about a move to MLS just yet after links to Inter Miami.
The 32-year-old midfielder is set to become a free agent at the end of this season with Roberto’s Barcelona contract due to expire in the summer, with a move to MLS being touted.
The Herons are reportedly interested in signing Roberto, who could join former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, along with Jordi Alba.

Yet according to Sport, Roberto is not thinking about a move to MLS at this stage in his career, with talks still ongoing with Barcelona to renew his contract.
With the versatile midfielder making just six starts in all competitions, though, the odds of Barcelona awarding Roberto a new contract seem slim, to say the least.
As a result, Roberto could have to fast-track his plan to America by quite some years, yet Inter Miami should not be looking to sign the 32-year-old in the summer.
Inter Miami don’t need to add Sergi Roberto to their midfield

With the Herons already having the likes of Busquets, Gregore and the incoming Federico Redondo in their midfield ranks, adding Roberto would be an unusual decision.
Yes, the Spanish international can play at right-back and has the tactical versatility to play for a Tata Martino side, but Inter Miami simply don’t need Roberto at this stage.
Having signed Julian Gressel and already having DeAndre Yedlin, Inter Miami are well-stocked in the positions Roberto would realistically play for the Herons.
And with cap space limited, there are more important problems in Inter Miami’s squad than signing yet another Barcelona-connect star, having already added four to in the last six months.
