Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has shed some light on Luka Modric’s future, with the midfielder linked with a move to Inter Miami.
The Croatian international is set to end an incredible 12-year spell with Los Blancos at the end of this season when the veteran playmaker’s contract with Madrid expires.
Modric is reportedly a target for Inter Miami with Saudi Arabia also a potential destination for the Madrid superstar, who is expected to play for at least one more club in his career.

Yet speaking to the press via Fabrizio Romano, Ancelotti has revealed that he is unaware of what the future holds for Modric, who has also been rumored to join Madrid’s coaching staff.
For Inter Miami, signing Modric would be quite a move having already landed Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets, three of the biggest names in all of soccer.
But for now, it appears that Modric is yet to make a decision on his future, with the Croatian superstar still having some time before the end of the season to make his choice after leaving Madrid.
Ancelotti said: “Luka Modric in the coaching staff? I don’t know what he will do in his future. He’s still an incredible player. He will choose his future, I don’t speak about this with you journalists.”
Inter Miami have to start shifting transfer strategy now

Modric to Inter Miami is perhaps not a real shock considering who the Herons currently have on their books and the type of superstars the Florida franchise are able to attract.
Yet it’s because of this that Inter Miami should consider a change in direction for their transfer strategy, with Modric simply too old for MLS and not what the Herons need at this moment in time.
The next step for Inter Miami will be to attract superstars who are at the absolute prime of their abilities, with players now likely to consider a move to Florida considering what the MLS franchise have managed in the last eight months.
