Inter Miami is reportedly closing in on one last winter signing.
After completing the transfers of Luis Suarez, Julian Gressel, and soon-to-be defender Nicolas Freire, reports in Argentine suggest that the Herons could be after another attacker.
According to TYC Sports, 27-year-old midfielder Agustín Palavecino is close to joining Inter Miami on loan.
“The problem for [River Plate] is that a Major League Soccer (MLS) regulation prevents them from spending more than 2.3 million dollars for a 27-year-old player,” the article said.
“But that figure is considered low for the Millionaire leadership, so the Americans found a solution. They propose taking it on loan for a year and including a higher purchase option so that the Band can disburse a greater amount of money in 2025.”
Inter Miami’s offseason business

So far, Miami’s off season roster business has been solid, according to pundits around the league. MLSsoccer.com even rated the Herons as the favorites to push for MLS Cup.
Though it’s still early days, that’s extremely promising for a club that’s looking to add more silverware.
After losing Facundo Farias to a season-ending injury, the potential signing of Palavecino is growing more important by the day.
Though Farias isn’t a starter on paper, his energy off the bench would’ve helped this Miami side. But with Palavecino set to come in, the Herons will have a versatile, crafty playmaker who should combine well with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
