Inter Miami are reportedly interested in signing one of Argentina’s most exciting youngsters this summer.

The Florida side have stepped up their presence in the transfer market in recent weeks after the arrival of David Martinez from River Plate, with Inter Miami now interested in signing Mexico international Cesar Montes.

Having booked their ticket into the knockout stage of this year’s Leagues Cup without Lionel Messi, things continue to look up for Inter Miami, who also lead the MLS Supporters’ Shield standings heading into the league restart later this month.

And the Herons are now keen on signing another top prospect from South America.

Inter Miami join race to sign Racing talent Baltasar Rodriguez

According to El Crack Deportivo, Inter Miami have joined the race to sign Racing Club winger Baltasar Rodriguez, with the 21-year-old also wanted by clubs from Saudi Arabia, Mexico and the United States.

An Argentina youth international, Rodriguez has impressed this year for the Argentine giants with a goal and an assist in over 800 minutes of soccer, with a summer move now on the cards for the versatile forward.

With Inter Miami set to sell Diego Gomez to Brighton & Hove Albion, Rodriguez could be lined up as a replacement for the Paraguay international, with the Racing star believed to be valued at $10m.

Indeed, Inter Miami struck gold with the signing of Gomez last year, and in Rodriguez, the 21-year-old could be the ideal replacement for the Premier League-bound attacking midfielder, especially if a deal can be agreed with Racing quickly.

Rodriguez could be an ideal Gomez replacement for the Herons

Although Gomez is not moving to England until the end of the year, finding a replacement now for the 21-year-old will be key for Inter Miami heading into 2025, and Rodriguez would do just that for the Florida franchise.

The youngster is attracting the right kind of interest from across the globe, with Rodriguez already a part of the Argentine national team set-up having featured regularly for the U-21s in recent years.

And a move to Inter Miami could be appealing for Rodriguez, who would likely jump at the chance to play alongside Lionel Messi and company if a move was to happen this summer.
