In attack meanwhile, Inter Miami have secured the signing of Tadeo Allende, with Fafa Picault also arriving as a free agent.

Inter Miami set to sign Mateo Silvetti

Leonardo Campana’s departure to the New England Revolution meant Miami’s frontline needed rejuvenating ahead of the 2025 season.

With Allende and Picault through the door, Inter Miami now look set to add yet another forward to their attacking ranks.

That is according to transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, who claims the Vice City team will soon complete the signing of Argentine youngster Mateo Silvetti from Newell’s Old Boys.

According to Sky Italia, Silvetti had been close to signing for Inter Milan in January, but the Italian giants failed to agree a deal with the Argentine side – leaving the door open for the Herons.

Silvetti would be smart pickup for Inter Miami

If Inter Miami were to secure Silvetti’s signature over the likes of Inter, it would no doubt be seen as a big coup for David Beckham and co.

Silvetti caught the eye of Europe’s elite in 2024, after bursting onto the scene following his senior debut at 18.

Despite his clear talent, the young forward is still relatively inexperienced at senior level, suggesting he may be one for the future.

What better way for Silvetti to learn his trade than to learn from the very best in Lionel Messi?
