An Inter Miami star loved by Lionel Messi has hinted that he’s thinking about leaving for Europe eventually in his career.
Whilst the likes of Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets have stolen the headlines for Inter Miami this season, a number of young players at the club have been going about their business and shining as well in recent weeks.
Diego Gomez has been the outstanding prospect at Inter Miami this year with the Paraguay international already reportedly wanted by the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, with Federico Redondo also impressing at the start of the campaign.
Yet one talented Inter Miami youngster has now suggested that he is thinking about leaving.
Benjamin Cremaschi admits he wants to leave Inter Miami for Europe eventually
Speaking to Urbana Play, Benjamin Cremaschi revealed that he has an interest in one day departing Inter Miami to play in Europe, a pathway that looks seemingly set in stone given how talented the midfielder is.
Cremaschi scored his first goal of the 2024 MLS season this weekend against the New England Revolution, with Messi believed to be a big fan of the 19-year-old USA international.
Able to play for Argentina, Cremaschi was asked if he would one day move to the South American country to ply his trade, yet the midfielder gave a stern response on where he wants to move next.
Cremaschi said when asked if he would move to Argentina: “In the near future, not just yet. I think now I am more interested in going to Europe, but maybe on the back? Yes, why not.”
Cremaschi is destined to move to Europe soon
Although Cremaschi has only just returned from injury, the Inter Miami academy graduate has shown flashes already this season that the midfielder could soon outgrow MLS.
The 19-year-old USA international is one of the most exciting prospects in the league and is a talent that can go far in the next 18 months playing regularly alongside Messi for Inter Miami.
And for Cremaschi, it already feels like a matter of ‘when’ the youngster will move to Europe rather than a case of ‘if’, with the teenager too good to remain at Inter Miami forver.
