Inter Miami reportedly now have a timeframe for when they expect Federico Redondo to join from Argentinos Juniors.

The Herons have in recent days reached an agreement to sign the 21-year-old midfielder from the Argentina club, with Inter Miami set to pay $8m to bring Redondo to Florida.

An official announcement had been anticipated to be made at some point this week, yet at the time of writing, Inter Miami are yet to confirm a deal for the Argentine youth international.

Yet according to BolaVIP, Inter Miami are confident that the midfielder’s arrival will be announced before next week’s MLS opener, with the Herons kicking off the season against Real Salt Lake.

With Sergio Busquets a doubt for the fixture, having Redondo through the door and in Herons colors will be a huge boost for Tata Martino’s side as they look to kick off the new MLS campaign with a win.

Indeed, Inter Miami landing Redondo is a huge result for the Florida franchise heading into the new season, and there will be an expectation that the midfielder can feature next week.

Redondo heads to Inter Miami with one of the most exciting reputations from South America, with many pundits expecting the midfielder to one day become a full international with Argentina.

And for the Herons, there’s every chance that the 21-year-old could become their new star midfielder, with Redondo expected to one day replace Busquets in the Herons starting XI.

With the youngster already likened to the former FC Barcelona legend, it’s no real surprise why Inter Miami have ultimately moved to sign Redondo this winter.

And with any luck, the Argentine youth international could become Inter Miami’s next midfield superstar, with Redondo a talent for the future in MLS.
