Javier Mascherano has wasted no time in molding his new Inter Miami squad.
The Argentine has boosted his attacking ranks with the free agent signing of Fafa Picault and Tadeo Allende, who joins Inter Miami on loan from Celta Vigo.
Plans to bolster the Herons roster have not stopped there, however, with Mascherano promising ‘reinforcements’ before the MLS curtain raiser in February.
With that being said, the Inter Miami boss may have just fulfilled that promise following news that the Herons have just secured another signing.

Inter Miami agree deal to sign Colo Colo’s Maxi Falcon
Mascherano’s desire to bring in defensive cover has been made no secret, with the Herons making an ‘inquiry’ for Nahuel Ferraresi.
Recent weeks have also seen Inter Miami make an offer for Maxi Falcon, their approach however would be rejected by Colo Colo.
Having recently tabled a new offer for the defender, it now seems the Herons have finally got their man, with TNT Sports confirming Inter Miami have agreed to a $2m deal with the Chilean side.
The report also states that Falcon is now saying goodbye to those in Cacique and will soon be heading to Miami to finalize the deal.
How could Inter Miami line up with Maxi Falcon
Falcon’s Vice City arrival is one that will be met with much relief by Mascherano.
Nicolas Freire’s Independiente move left the Inter Miami boss with few options at center-back ahead of the new season.
With that being said, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Falcon slot straight into Mascherano’s starting XI alongside Tomas Aviles.

Also able to deputize at right-back, Falcon will also provide cover for the likes of Marcelo Weigandt – something Inter Miami missed dearly last campaign.
