Luka Modric reportedly already has a transfer preference in mind amid reports that Inter Miami are interested in signing the Real Madrid star.
The 38-year-old midfielder is set to leave Los Blancos this summer after an incredible 12-year career in the Spanish capital that has seen Modric win an outstanding 25 titles, including five UEFA Champions Leagues.
Whilst no official confirmation has been announced, there’s an expectation that Modric will depart Madrid this summer, with Inter Miami reportedly interested in signing the Croatian legend.

Yet according to the Athletic, Modric already has a preference for his next transfer, with the midfielder keen to stay in Europe despite interest from Inter Miami.
With Saudi Arabian sides also chasing Modric, interest is high in the veteran midfielder, who might have been more comfortable moving to a lesser league at this stage in his career.
However, as per the report, Modric believes he is still good enough to play at a high level in Europe, with a move to MLS and Inter Miami now seemingly off the table barring any late twists.
Indeed, Inter Miami could have been a good move for Modric, yet for the Herons, this update could turn out to be a blessing in disguise heading into the summer transfer window.

Inter Miami might have one of the best squads in MLS history, but there’s no denying it’s also one of the oldest in the current crop of squads competing this season.
Had Modric signed, the average age would have jumped up yet again after this year’s arrival of 37-year-old Luis Suarez, who joined 36-year-old Lionel Messi and 35-year-old Sergio Busquets.
