Millonarios manager Albert Gamero has publically stated he would be interested in signing Inter Miami winger Emerson Rodriguez.
The 23-year-old attacker recently returned to the Herons after spending a year out on loan with Santos Laguna, with the Mexican side reportedly interested in signing Rodriguez.
However, a return now seems unlikely, yet a new destination for the youngster could be a return to Millonarios, who last season won the Colombian title on penalties.

And speaking to Infobae, manager Gamero revealed that he would be interested in signing Rodriguez, who broke through at Millonarios before moving to Inter Miami in 2022.
Gamero said when asked if he would take Rodriguez back at Millonarios: βHe is a player who still does not have a team. He is with Inter Miami, he is training there.
βI understand that they are looking for a team for him, if the possibility arises, he is welcome. He is a player we know, if the opportunity is given here we will receive him.β
Millonarios return could suit Emerson Rodriguez and Inter Miami

At 23, Rodriguez still has plenty of time left ahead of him to make a name for himself at Inter Miami, with the attacker showing signs with Santos last season that the potential is there.
And a return to familiar surroundings in Millonarios could be ideal for the attacker, especially with Gamero now publically stating that he is open to the winger coming back to Colombia.
Indeed, if Inter Miami can reach a loan agreement with Millonarios, a temporary transfer for Rodriguez could please all parties, especially the player.
