Inter Miami is linked, once again, to another midfielder.
After failing to make the playoffs in 2023, the Fort Lauderdale-based club made a point to revamp the issues in their squad.
“We’re looking at everything to [improve the squad.] We have high hopes for 2024, and we want to show what we can do as a club,” Club CSO Chris Henderson stated.
“Winning trophies and having high ambition is something we’ve had since day one.”
Already, Miami has signed the likes of striker Luis Suarez, defender Nicolas Freire, and wing-back Julian Gressel.
Now, the Herons are linked to another promising young midfielder.
Inter Miami’s midfield savior?

According to a Tweet from Rincon MLS, it was reported that in the pre-game show of Argentina’s Juniors match against River Plate, the on-air commentators stated that Inter Miami was tentatively interested in the services of a midfielder Federico Redondo.
Redondo stands at 6’2″ and is an absolute workhorse in the midfield. Though he doesn’t quite have the class of Busquets, his box-to-box ability would, ironically, make for a great partner next to the Spaniard.
Though this is only a rumor, for now, it’s evident that Miami is after another central midfielder.
The Herons have been linked with Cristian Medina and Agustín Palavecino in their quest to fill out their roster.
There’s still plenty of time to get moves done, however, with MLS’ roster compliance date set to kick in on February 20th for Miami.
