Saudi Arabia side Al-Ettifaq are reportedly the new favorites to sign David De Gea, who has been linked with a move to Inter Miami.
The Spanish goalkeeper has struggled to find a club since being released by Manchester United this summer, with Inter Miami in recent weeks emerging as a potential destination for De Gea.
However, according to British publication the Sun, Saudi Arabia side Al-Ettifaq are the frontrunners for the 33-year-old superstar, with other clubs from the Saudi Pro League also chasing De Gea.

Managed by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, Al-Ettifaq are one of many Saudi Arabian clubs that spent big this summer on new big-name players, namely England international Jordan Henderson.
And heading into January, De Gea could be the next major name to make the move to Al-Ettifaq, potentially throwing Inter Miami’s new plan to sign the goalkeeper out of the window.
Indeed, whilst De Gea seemingly isn’t a priority for Inter Miami, losing out on the shot-stopper to a Saudi Arabia side will feel like a hammer blow for the Herons.
David De Gea choosing Saudi Arabia over Inter Miami would make little sense

With De Gea reportedly not open on a move to Saudi Arabia, the former United star ultimately heading to the Middle East over Inter Miami would make little sense.
The Spanish international is at the peak of his powers and can offer a lot to a major footballing powerhouse, with Europe still a valid option for De Gea.
Yet if a move outside the continent is what is needed for the 33-year-old to continue his career, Inter Miami would be a more sensible choice than a move to Saudi Arabia.
As we know, money isn’t everything in football, and for De Gea, trying to make something in Florida under Tata Martino alongside Lionel Messi could be more meaningful than a move to Saudi Arabia.
