David Beckham loves to watch Lionel Messi train.
Awestruck by Messi’s professionalism, in an interview with The Times, Beckham discussed his love for the World Cup winner.
The England international spoke about even waking early, going into Inter Miami’s training facilities to watch the Argentine work on the field.
“Firstly, I wanted to be in before Leo to show him I was there and the commitment I have to the team and the club,” the ex-LA Galaxy midfielder said.
“He is a superstar, but the most humble superstar. And I just love to watch him train.”
Messi has made waves in the United States since signing with Miami in the summer. The Argentine has helped the South Florida side win silverware, as well as propel them into the upper echelon of world football. The Argentine has also been a phenomenal ambassador for the sport in the country, inspiring the next generation of Inter Miami academy products in the process.
Inter Miami’s talisman, Lionel Messi

2024 is looking to be a banner year for the Herons.
The organization will be revamping its roster in addition to rolling out a new tactical setup.
With a full off-season of rest for Messi to get adjusted to the US, Miami will be one of the favorites to challenge for MLS Cup.
However, that’s dependent on what the team’s roster will look like in the coming months. Inter Miami will be playing in several competitions, both international and domestic. Squad depth and quality will be needed if the Herons want to win trophies.
Already, there have been rumors that Luis Suárez could join the team in January. Should the transfer occur, Miami will have a world-class, proven goalscorer who will link up well with Messi.
Ultimately, the Herons will be the team to watch. A potential Messi/Suarez partnership will be deadly in the final third. If Miami can make the acquisition happen, they should be able to fight for more silverware.
