Inter Miami sporting director Christ Henderson has now issued his thoughts on the signing of Federico Redondo for the Herons.
The Florida franchise finally confirmed the signing of the 21-year-old midfielder on Friday, with Redondo joining Inter Miami from Argentinos Juniors for a reported $8m.
Wanted by the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, Inter Miami have landed a sensational coup in Redondo, who is expected to partner Sergio Busquets in central midfield.
Inter Miami official praises ‘exciting’ Federico Redondo signing

And speaking to Inter Miami’s official website, sporting director Henderson has praised Redondo upon arriving in Florida, with the midfielder set to get to work with his new team immediately.
Indeed, Inter Miami have landed arguably one of the signings of the year in the 21-year-old midfielder, and the Argentine youngster could be a sensational long-term addition for Tata Martino’s side.
Henderson when asked about Inter Miami’s official announcement of Redondo: “We’re pleased to bring an exciting young midfielder like Federico to Inter Miami.
“He’s a very promising player who is sharp with the ball at his feet, and shows awareness out of possession. We believe in his potential, but also feel he will immediately be a strong addition to our squad as we look to build on our successes in 2024.”
Inter Miami are now ready to challenge for everything this season

Whilst Inter Miami have suffered some big injuries already this year, the arrival of Redondo more-or-less completes Martino’s squad for the new 2024 MLS season.
All the parts are now there for the Herons to create history, with Inter Miami a genuine contender to challenge for every trophy possible this season from MLS Cup to the US Open Cup.
And Redondo will play an essential role for the Florida franchise this season, with the midfielder now tasked with pairing Busquets and helping Martino’s system tick as much as possible.
Moreover, a chance to play for the biggest club in MLS could help Redondo make a move to Europe, where big teams will be keeping an eye on the Argentine’s performances this season.
