Tata Martino is reportedly excited to see Federico Redondo’s ball progressing skills having now officially signed for Inter Miami.

The Herons have been chasing the midfielder for what feels like an eternity, with Redondo finally being unveiled on Frida as an Inter Miami player having joined from Argentinos Juniors for $8m.

Beating FC Barcelona and Real Madrid to the transfer, Redondo’s move to Florida could be one of the most important in Inter Miami’s short history given how highly rated the 21-year-old is.

And according to the Athletic, Martino is looking forward to leaning in on Redondo’s abilities to progress the ball, as well as tapping into the midfielder’s budding leadership skills.

Strongly compared to Inter Miami star Sergio Busquets, there’s a good reason why Martino is now honing in on developing the aforementioned skills for Redondo.

And with the midfielder now through the door and officially signed, Redondo can get to work in pushing his development to the next level in Florida, where the youngster could have the perfect environment to grow.

And for Redondo and Inter Miami, the transfer is one that could be a match made in heaven, with the midfielder now gifted the chance to learn from the player he could one day succeed in Busquets.

With Redondo also surrounded by other legends of the game, the 21-year-old has all the tools needed to take his game to the next level, where a move to Europe could be on the cards in the next 18 months.
