On October 25th, Inter Miami announced its end-of-season roster plans.
On the list, the club announced that players Jake LaCava, Victor Ulloa, and Josef Martinez won’t return to the team in 2024. Furthermore, recently, it was reported that midfielder Dixon Arroyo would also leave the club.
This leaves Miami in an interesting predicament.
Not only will they be without one striker, but also a winger and two midfielders. While no new signings have been made recently, the players released by the organization hint at the Heron’s winter plans.
Inter Miami wants to challenge for more silverware in 2024. Sporting Director Chris Henderson has said that the team intends to bring in more players that can complement Lionel Messi’s style of play: “Without tipping what we’re going to do in trades, I do feel that we need to have competition in every spot.”
It remains to be seen who Miami will acquire, but what is certain is that the front office will bring in quality players.
Inter Miami’s 2024 roster

For weeks, rumors have swirled around Inter Miami that striker Luis Suárez will reportedly join the club in the winter.
Should the Uruguayan make the jump to MLS, he’ll team up again with Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. Suárez will bring tenacity to a Miami attack as the Herons look to win MLS Cup.
In the midfield, after losing the likes of the aforementioned Ulloa and Arroyo, Miami will want to fill the void with an MLS veteran who can play meaningful minutes. In a previous article, Inter Miami News suggested that current Columbus Crew player Julian Gressel would be an ideal fit. The German-American can play as a wingback as well as a central midfielder.
No matter what decisions Miami makes, they will undoubtedly look to acquire players who will help them win more titles.
