Inter Miami have big plans this January under new manager Javier Mascherano to improve the squad as much as possible heading into the 2025 season.
Last year could be viewed as a disappointment for the Herons given how much hype there was surrounding Inter Miami and their chances of going all the way in every competition from the CONCACAF Champions Cup to the big one in MLS Cup.
As we know, Lionel Messi and friends ended the year with just the Supporters’ Shield, with the Florida franchise now at work to improve the squad and to bring in as much quality as possible for the new season, with Inter Miami already signing Fafa Picault.
And the Chase Stadium side could now be close to yet another attacking addition.

Inter Miami waiting for MLS green light to sign Tadeo Allende
According to El Periodico de Aragon, Inter Miami are waiting for authorization from MLS to confirm the signing of Tadeo Allende from Celta Vigo, with the 26-year-old winger set to become the Herons’ second arrival of the winter.
Allende was linked with Inter Miami last month as Mascherano looks to find replacements for both Leonardo Campana and Mathias Rojas, with attacking options looking light despite Luis Suarez signing a new contract and Messi being fully fit for the new season.
With Inter Miami also in talks to sign Baltasar Rodriguez, the Florida franchise are building out their forward ranks with an exciting plan to help facilitate Messi and Suarez, who will both want to enjoy their best years yet in MLS.
And adding a La Liga player in Allende will be viewed by many Inter Miami fans as an excellent piece of business, with the 26-year-old the type of player who could thrive in MLS having spent last year in Europe.

Who else are Inter Miami interested in signing this January?
Attackers might seem like the order of the business for Inter Miami this month, but as supporters know too well from last season, the defense needs arguably more work than adding more components to compliment Messi and Suarez.
And the Herons appear to be doing just that, with Inter Miami reaching an agreement to sign Gonzalo Lujan from San Lorenzo in a deal worth $800,000 having worked with Mascherano across Argentina’s youth teams.
With Inter Miami also making a bid for Nahuel Ferraresi, adding to the backline appears to be next on the ‘to do list’ for the January transfer window, with exciting things in the works for the Herons heading into the first pre-season games of the month.
